how can you be seen without being consumed?
almost everyone online with a morsel of a platform has a “brand,” or sees themselves as some kind of mini celebrity. even when people mean well, posts meant to share genuine pockets of life feel manufactured. the authenticity that once made the internet an alternative to tv’s overproduction has become another version of the same thing.
I’ve reached a point in my life where I’m more interested in just being, quietly, rather than performing or overcompensating. fortunately, I’m now in rooms I used to pray for, surrounded by people who both ground and inspire me. I’d like a space where I can share what’s happening on my personal and professional journeys without it feeling like bragging, or like I’m talking into a void and pretending to be on a stage. I don’t want to feed into the overproduction and toxicity that comes with most online spaces, full of people chasing validation and attention. I’m looking to talk a little shit, share things worth hearing, learn with and from you, and rant about dumb ass hoes (duh).
I don’t really know how to use substack yet, but it feels like the most fitting platform without too much red tape. if you’re looking for a quaint community with a lil bit of mess but don’t want to drown in it, this might be for you.
this is my attempt at being seen without being consumed. looking forward to connecting.

I overstand! You sound like an ambivert... don't ask me how I know.😉 What comes from the heart, reaches the heart. People know when you're being authentic. I'm excited for you to have a space to share whatever morsels of your journey that YOU CHOOSE! 🫶🏾💜
